Mrs. Murrell-Hinkson was called to the Bar in Barbados in 2006 and joined the firm, George Walton Payne & Co., upon her admission.
Mrs. Murrell-Hinkson is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws degree with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies.
During her Bachelor of Laws programme, she had the distinction of being awarded the Carrington & Sealy Law Scholarship and was the recipient of the George Walton Payne & Co. Scholarship Trust.
In 2006, Mrs. Murrell-Hinkson also obtained her Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad as well as a Certificate in Mediation after she completed an alternative dispute resolution clinical programme that placed particular emphasis on negotiation and mediation skills.
Thereafter, Mrs. Murrell-Hinkson successfully completed her postgraduate studies at theUniversity of the West Indies and is the holder of a Master of Laws degree in Corporate and Commercial Law.
The primary focus of Mrs. Murrell-Hinkson's practice at the Firm is corporate/commercial law. She has worked on a number of regional and international commercial transactions including cross border financings, cross border insolvency and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions as well as rendering general corporate advice.
She is also a Director and Corporate Secretary of several international business companies and local companies.
